The 6th edition the “ClaviCologne” International Piano Festival and Competition will take place in the beautiful city of Hamburg. Germany is one of the most important music centres in the world and famous for its musicians, artists, and composers.

The Festival will be held from 19th to 30th of March 2019 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.

“ClaviCologne” International Piano Competition will take place from 21st to 24th of March 2019 where the participants will present themselves to an internationally renowned jury.

We are also proud to announce that “ClaviCologne” International Piano Competition 2019 makes part of the big series of 14 international piano competitions held all around the world. 5 best participants of each competition will have a free participation in the “Classic Piano” International Piano Competition 2021 within the framework of the “InClassica” International Music Festival.

The mission of the European Foundation for Support of Culture through the presentation of this Festival is to re-discover, promote, support and document the great masters for keyboard while providing audiences with a unique musical experience; to build the audiences of the future to help ensure the very existence of classical music.

This festival will also be a time of learning. Young musicians are anxious to attend master classes with the best performers and professors from all around the world.

With so many artistic achievements to its credit, the European Foundation for Support of Culture looks forward towards the continued success of its classical music projects in the future.

Moreover, it will also comprise an international piano competition, providing an opportunity and a new effective platform for young pianists, not only to demonstrate their technique, skills and professionalism but also to show their personality and knowledge when interpreting the compositions which they will be performing.

Dear Friends and Music Lovers,

I am happy to welcome you to the 6th edition of the ClaviCologne International Piano Festival, Masterclasses and Competition which will be held from the 19th to 30th of March 2019. For the first time ClaviCologne will take place in Hamburg at the University of Music and Theatre.

Some of the world’s finest pianists and educators such as Alfred Brendel, Michel Beroff, Dmitri Bashkirov and many others will embellish the event with recitals, workshops, lectures and various masterclasses.

It is a truly unique opportunity for young talented musicians from all over the globe to experience great artists in person, in a more familiar atmosphere outside the framework of an official concert appearance. The diversity of events during the ClaviCologne International Piano Festival, Masterclasses and Competition will provide all the participants a wide choice of performance and studying activities.

Also for music lovers and concert audience this will be a very special chance to follow communication between and with musicians in a live-mode and to experience musical processes both onstage and offstage.
